For cheap, functional window covering that doesn’t require a lot of thought or maintenance, simple roller shades will do. They open, close, and that’s it; pure utilitarian window treatments. Mr. Elroy wanted to get his upstairs rental unit fully shaded on a limited budget, and the windows were all of standard sizes. These are the situations where roller shades work best since they’re the easiest to design for standard widths. Mr. Elroy picked out two different colors of roller shades for the living and bedrooms and for the bathroom and kitchen. Producing these units was fast and easy, and installing them even more so for our team.
