The one-room you want to keep free of sunlight and prying eyes the most is the bedroom. A perfect way to keep it like that is with blackout blinds. These blinds are lined with super-opaque materials that let them keep out all the light without needing to be too thick. When closed, the blind panels overlap completely to not let even a single photon of visible light inside. Mr. Detlef’s window facing the sunrise was a particular problem for his guest bedroom.
